Topshop Beauty- The Face Collection*

*This is a Topshop x Amy Elizabeth collaboration

For a good few years Topshop have been very high up my list of 'go to' retailers. They seem to continuously find a way of maintaining their position at the forefront of fast, fashionable, trend led fashion. I am guilty of spending a huge percentage of my money in Topshop, be it on a dress for a night out, some earrings from their extensive accessories department or yet another pair of my favorite Joni jeans. I have known for a while that Topshop also offer a range of beauty products, which I have dibbled and dabbled with over the past, but have never regarded myself a 'fully fledged Topshop beauty connoisseur'.

However, their new 'The Face' collection has completely changed my pre-concieved ideas that high-street beauty collections are not of the same quality as the luxury brands seen on the Selfridges Beauty Floor. As soon as the products arrived, I completely fell in love. I am a complete sucker for some pretty packaging, and the mirrored silver boxes that each of these items came in absolutely captivated me. I was lucky enough to be able to try out a version of every product in the range, so starting with primers, I selected the 'Airbrush Primer'.

This primer has fast become my new staple make up item. I am so in love with this product, that even though it is transparent, I would feel confident enough to leave my house with no foundation applied over the top. It quite literally 'photoshops' your skin. Visible pores are gone, discolouration is evened out and the skin is softened . The product contains photo reflecting particles which illuminate the skin, meaning you look like you have a beautifully healthy glow. This is without a doubt my favourite product from the range, and priced at £12 I think it's an absolute steal! You can purchase it for yourself HERE

Moving on to concealers, I sampled two different types. The first being the absolutely beautiful concealer palette, which allows you to filter out any blemish at all with its wide range of creamy formulas in varying shades. The best part about this palette is the translucent setting powder which means that you can be sure your makeup will stay put all day and the blemishes will stay well and truly hidden. I was also sent the standard concealer in 'light', a multi-use liquid concealer which leaves a soft focus finish and blends like an absolute dream, meaning foundation glides over with ease and doesn't leave your skin looking patchy. This works fantastically as an under-eye brightener, and contains chamomile extract which also helps to reduce puffiness! win-win! Click here to buy your concealer palette or liquid concealer

The final product is the foundation. I got shade 01, which is a lovely light shade perfect for someone with a cool complexion like me. The foundation comes with a unique 'pipette' applicator, something I've never seen before but absolutely love! The foundation is incredibly light in texture, which I find a bonus, as I hate feeling like I have a lot of really heavy make up resting on my face! This lightness means that it is very easy to build up a number of layers, allowing you to easily control the amount of coverage you wish you build up. If you want to try it for yourself you can buy it HERE

All in all, this range is absolutely fantastic, the packaging is beautiful and the coverage is flawless! Leave me your lovely comments below and let me know if you fancy trying something from this range! I'd also love it if you'd follow me on twitter and instagram to keep updated with all my latest posts.

  9. I've never really been a Topshop lover. I've gone into their shops and maybe bought a pair of socks. It's shameful, I know. I may have to rethink that stance.

  14. I'm really keen to try out more of Topshop's beauty range - so far I've only sampled their lipsticks and nail polishes which I adore. I really have my eye on that primer - anything that can give my perpetually pale skin a healthy glow is more than welcome in my make-up collection! xo

  20. Had no idea Topshop was doing face makeup, but a few of these look great - that primer especially! I adore Topshop clothes but I have a few of their lipsticks that I wasn't too impressed with, hopefully this new range will change that!
